Energy efficient and environmentally-friendly, Neylor products can assist in creating healthier work, living and recreational environments in a number of ways:
The choice of window coverings can have a significant effect on the energy efficiency and improvements within a building whether commercial or residential. The process and materials used to produce the window coverings can also have a positive or negative impact on the greater environment.
Neylor is committed to assisting our clients in creating healthier working and living environments through our choice of materials and manufacturing processes.
Specification of the right product can significantly reduce heat and glare in internal spaces and help the need for air conditioning in summer and heating in winter. In turn our window coverings can help to reduce a building’s energy consumption and green house gas emissions.
Green Star, developed by the Green Building Council of Australia, is an effective design and operational assessment tool for commercial building. The Green Star program has a number of assessments and ratings to monitor the energy efficiency and environmental impact of a building.
With the choice of an internal blind system or an external screen system as well as a huge range of eco-friendly fabrics to choose from Neylor has a range of products that meet specific Green Star criteria and can assist in achieving Green Star credit points for a building. These include:
IEQ-4 Daylight Glare Control : The use of appropriate Eloquent, Madison, Zing, Euroscreen, Chanel or Metalo (Trevira CS) fabrics can contribute to the achievement of one credit point.
IEQ-5 Daylight Glare Control : The use of appropriate Eloquent, Madison, Zing, Euroscreen, Chanel or Metalo (Trevira CS) fabrics can contribute to the achievement of one credit point.
Ene-1 Energy Efficiency : The use of appropriate Eloquent, Madison, Zing, Euroscreen, Chanel or Metalo (Trevira CS) fabrics can assist in the reduction of a building’s energy consumption.
Ene-2 Energy Improvements : The use of appropriate Eloquent, Madison, Zing, Euroscreen, Chanel or Metalo (Trevira CS) fabrics can contribute to reduced energy consumption.
IEQ-4 Daylight Glare Control : If 100% of blinds or screens installed are Helioscreen – Heliogreen fabrics, and connected to a Building management system with manual override, use of these fabrics may contribute towards the possible achievement of 1 credit point.
IEQ-5 Daylight Glare Control : If 100% of blinds or screens installed are Helioscreen – Heliogreen fabrics, and connected to a Building management system with manual override, use of these fabrics may contribute towards the possible achievement of 1 credit point.
Ene-1 Energy Efficiency : If Helioscreen – Heliogreen internal polyester fabrics are installed in the base building. Use of these fabrics may contribute towards reduced energy consumption of the building if included in the building energy load modeling process.
Ene-2 Energy Improvements : If Helioscreen – Heliogreen internal polyester fabrics are installed in the base building. Use of these fabrics will contribute towards improved overall energy efficiency of the building. This increased efficiency should be reflected in the energy load modeling process. (Maximum of 15 credit points can be achieved by improving energy efficiency in buildings).
